                    Welcome to the Highland PTO Web Page!!


On behalf of our PTO board, welcome to Highland Elementary School! Whether you are new to Highland or returning for another great year, we hope you will consider joining our Parent-Teacher Organization. We welcome all parents, guardians, and grandparents of Highland students, as well as teachers and staff. Family membership is $5.


If you would like to receive an email notification about announcements, calendar events, and/or file updates, please click on the "Join this FusionPage" in the top right corner.   We hope this site will keep you up to date with the latest news and activities from our PTO so that you can be more involved with the events at our school.

Highland PTO Committees and Chairs
Committee Chair: Dreama Ferguson-Howard
Collects, trims, and binds box tops sent in for mailing.

Committee Chair: Theresa Small
This committee plans low cost monthly activities for Highland families to enjoy. Activities may include but not limited to skate nights, holiday night, bowling, BINGO night, festivals and make and take pottery. The sky is the limit for what you can plan!
Committee Chair: Matthew Penn
Contacts local restaurants and sets up days once a month for Highland families to dine out and the school gets a percentage of the total sales for that day.

Works with the staff to reward Honor Roll students in 3rd – 5th grade. This may include but not limited to rewards, fun days, movie time, or any incentive to encourage Highland students to receive honor roll recognition.

This committee’s sole responsibility is to honor and thank our staff here at Highland. It provides monthly treats and goodies along with celebrating special occasions. Many volunteers needed throughout the year.

Organizes a partnership with local supermarkets/businesses to link our families and their frequent shopping cards to Highland Elementary to receive a portion of the total sales.

This committee works throughout the school. They do many things including copying, filing, tutoring, and just about anything we can do to help our staff!

Encourages our students to READ! They log their minutes and their progress is rewarded with prizes and recognition
Committee Chair: Jennifer Quinn
Coordinates daily activities for all students during this week of drug-awareness (usually October). Working along with the school counselor we plan a week of fun and spirit to team up against drugs!
Committee Chair: Debbie Bodnar
Organizes our annual holiday store where students get to buy low costs gifts for their families. Involves set-up of the store, organizing volunteers to help students shop, and inventory. This is a one-week commitment early in December.
